Removal of Tape Device Drivers on Windows NT

If removing a Windows NT tape device driver from the system on which mvBase resides, it is necessary to reconfigure all tape devices for mvBase. This is done via the Administration Utility. It is also necessary to reboot Windows NT.

Perform the following procedure once the tape device driver has been removed from Windows NT and once Windows NT has been rebooted:

  1. Select the Configure… button on the Server tab of the Administration Utility.

  2. Select the Tapes tab.

  3. Remove all mvBase tape devices which represent real tape drives.

  4. Add again those tape devices which you wish to keep.
