Sr. Financial Analyst
Description/Responsibilities:

High visibility, hybrid accounting and finance position working directly with CFO & VP, Finance on a variety of projects including: SEC reporting, SOX compliance, proxy statements/annual reports, press releases, financial analysis, accounting research, domestic and international operations, human resource administration, employee benefits, insurance, and stock plan administration. Position works closely with the Irvine-based accounting team. Position offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to develop an extremely broad skill set in a multi-national public software company.

You will be working directly with the CFO & VP Finance, and executive management, with the ability to work cross functionally on various projects including:

• Provide financial and business analysis support to CFO and senior management team.
• Assist with the preparation and review of SEC reports, proxy statements and annual reports.
• Assist with researching, interpreting and implementing SEC and GAAP requirements.
• Assist with identifying, assessing and improving internal controls for SOX compliance.
• Act as a key liaison with international (European) operations.
• Assist the CFO & VP Finance with quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Prepare board and committee presentations and press releases.
• Perform financial analysis including trend analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, etc.
• Assist with various human resources and employee benefits projects.
• Assist with stock plan administration.
• Work on ad hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements:

• Must have 5-8+ years overall business experience; ideally 2-3 years public accounting and 3-4 years industry experience, CPA license preferred; pending licenses acceptable. 
• Take charge person who has a positive professional attitude, and who is flexible in terms of time and projects. 
• Must be very detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills. 
• Must be a quick learner and able to work independently, and have the ability to multi-task. 
• Experience with corporate-level operations and with software revenue recognition (SOP 97-2) preferred. 
• Experience developing internal controls and procedures and implementation, SOX experience preferred. 
• Experience performing complex analyses with strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
• Strong Excel and Word skills are required.  
• Willing to work overtime and travel as needed to Irvine, CA.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is a plus.
