Sr. Software Engineer 
Java – Database Internals
Description/Responsibilities:

We’re seeking an experienced engineer to work on database internals, including indexing, transaction management and query. Individual will work in extending facilities for federated and clustered environments; will also work in designing and implementing new ways to distribute and federate queries and transactions in clustered and peer-to-peer environments; and will help to design indexing and distribution strategies to do so efficiently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years writing well documented code in C++
• Passion for writing high quality, well-designed and well-documented code
• Previous work experience with a database or document management engine, preferably some work with a query language engine
• Understanding of clustered environments and problems inherent in distributing load across multiple machines
• BS Degree in CS, EE or equivalent
• 4+ years of Java experience

Desirable:

• JNI experience, specifically in streaming data between Java and C++
• Experience in cross platform Windows, Solaris and Linux development
